Architectural Restoration Program History, Excursion and Application Courses

Architectural Restoration Pr. 2nd year students visited Gölhisar Muallim Mustafa Sırrı Özkan Culture House and conducted their Architectural Restoration I course in this mansion built in the early years of the Republic Period.
In memory of the legacy left to Turkish youth by Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK, with respect and gratitude to Gazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK and his comrades from this mansion. Happy 100th Anniversary of our Republic.
The mansion, built by Muallim Mustafa Sırrı Özkan, is a typical example of civil architecture in Gölhisar with its two floors, bay windows, cihannüma, living room, guest and bedrooms, hearth serving as a kitchen, shelves for arranging plates and dishes, and sherbet, yüklük, and gusülhane.
Most of the objects exhibited in the mansion are enriched with items and tools used by the Özkan family for six generations and ethnographic value items obtained from the surrounding area.
The village guesthouse, which also hosted the prominent statesmen of the period, has been arranged as a museum house that preserves the valuable heritage of Gölhisar's past and transfers the culture of our region to future generations.
